[ read more ]Following the success of the Stela for mostly residential areas and the T-line for tunnels, Indal introduces a new LED luminaire for traffic routes. The new luminaire will enable savings on energy costs and CO2 emissions from 10 to 40%. Considering that these installations involve high wattages, this adds up considerably. LED is about to experience new levels of success. “We can now offer a suitable LED solution for all situations,” says product manager Wim Visser proudly. “From the smallest alleys to the busiest highways.” The new launch involves two differently sized Luma luminaires: the Luma 2 and the Luma 3.

[ read more ]The Cargo Sheds No. 4 and No. 5-9 South Wharf represent the last (in situ) remaining link with the cargo and berthing facilities of the nineteenth century river port of Melbourne, originally extending to Queen's Bridge, and is now the most eastern part of the port of Melbourne. The Sheds, and associated wharfing, illustrate the small scale methods of cargo-handling direct from ship to wharf, in the era of trans-shipment and before the introduction of roll-on roll-off and container shipment. They have been in use for cargo-handling for over 60 years.
[ read more ]The new greenhouse complex of seed cultivation company Monsanto Vegetable Seeds in Bergschenhoek in the Netherlands, is fitted with Indal luminaires. With advice from Patron Agri Systems Group in De Lier, Monsanto chose Optipar. Patron is responsible for all climate, electrical and water-related issues in the project soon to be handed over.

[ read more ]Rivers of Light from the city of Valladolid has received the prestigious City.People.Light 2011 award, organized by LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International Association) and by Phillips, for the best project of urban lighting. The project has also managed to reduce energy consumption by 45% due to the use of efficient lighting solutions.
Over the past few months the Heinenoord Tunnel was installed with the T-line LED tunnel lighting manufactured by Indal. The switch to LED will produce energy savings of around 50%. The Heinenoord is the second tunnel in the Netherlands with LED line lighting. The first, the Vlake Tunnel, was also equipped with Indal’s T-line last year. Thanks to the many positive experiences of users and the enormous cost savings potential this LED line lighting system is becoming the standard.
